Casio's new EXILIM series features the EXILIM EX-M1, an MP3 player that permits short movie recording with sound, as well as individual pictures, pictures using the self-timer feature and individual pictures with sound. The unit's 0.48-in. depth makes it easy to literally slip into a back pocket and the sleek, all-metal, high-quality silver finish adds to the miniaturized camera's pizazz.
The EX-M1 has a 1.34-megapixel resolution. The EX-M1 saves images to its 12MB internal memory, but it also supports SD/MMC cards for optional extended memory capacity. A remote control and stereo headphones are included in the $349.99 package. A digital camera version without the MP3 capability, the EXILIM EX-S1, is available for $299.99.
